How to choose your first Murano-style chandelier: the buying guide

With so many shapes, colors, and sizes, choosing your first Murano-style chandelier can seem complicated. Here are the criteria that really matter.

Start with the room, not the chandelier

The size of the room and the ceiling height determine the ideal diameter. A small bedroom goes well with a 40 to 55 cm model, while a reception room can accommodate a piece of 80 cm or more, like Cangiante or Laguna.

Choosing your glass shade

Colored glass (pink, green, blue-green, amber) creates a distinct atmosphere right from installation. Transparent or iridescent glass adapts more easily to an interior already rich in colors, playing mainly on reflections.

Count the useful lights

A model with 4-6 sockets is sufficient for a bedroom or an entrance. For a living room or dining room that needs bright lighting, opt for a model with 9 lights or more.

Check the chain length

An adjustable chain up to 100 cm allows for flexibility in adjusting the chandelier to your ceiling, whether it is standard or higher.
